We're ready to get rolling for tomorrow's Touch A Truck at Windmill Island Gardens! On Saturday, October 3 from 9:30am - 1:00pm, stop by to see over 20 different kids of trucks from construction vehicles, to tractors, to emergency vehicles, and SO much more! Explore the trucks and learn about our community providers, hop on a hayride, and if you just can get enough trucks, you can fuel up with coffee from Foxtail, and some lunch from ZOMburger's!🚜

Admission for Touch a Truck is $5 per person with youth under 15 entering free. Explore the park, then head to Downtown Holland for the rest of Fall Fest! Find more details at www.hollandfallfest.com 🎃

The holiday light event Magic at the Mill will be back for another year of magical holiday fun at Windmill Island Gardens with even MORE lights! Join us the first three weekends in December to watch a dazzling light show of 1,000 LED ‘tulips’ synchronized to holiday music, meet Sinterklaas, listen to holiday classics on the street organ and SO much more. It's beginning to look a lot like fall at Windmill Island Gardens! For our last few days of the season, visitors can enjoy a variety of flowers still in bloom, beautiful mums & fall decor, and you may even spot our hardworking horticulture team getting ready to plant thousands of tulip bulbs to bloom in the spring!🌷

And of course don't miss the popular Touch A Truck event happening THIS Saturday, October 3 from 9:30am - 1:00pm to explore over 20 different trucks, see our tulip planting tractor in action, and so much more!🚜

Windmill Island Gardens will close for the season on Sunday, October 4 with just one more extended weekend from October 9-11 to celebrate another amazing season of over 160,000 visitors for the second time ever!🌼

We are just over 2 weeks away from Touch A Truck at Windmill Island Gardens on Saturday, October 3 where truck enthusiasts of all ages are invited to meet a wide variety of local providers and explore their vehicles! With over 20 vehicles, mini games, food trucks, hayrides, and so much more, it is sure to be a day full of truck fun! 🚜

We are sad to hear of the passing of Jaap de Blecourt, the original manager of Windmill Island. Jaap built the park up over its first 30 years, providing an authentic Dutch welkom to over 3 million visitors. Our thoughts are with his family at this time as we join them in mourning a true champion of Holland.

While he will be dearly missed, many of us carry fond memories of Jaap's leadership. We invite you to learn a bit more of his story from our celebration of his legacy last summer.

Landscaping is more than beautiful garden beds! Learn the basics about trees to branch out your gardening skills! Join us next Thursday, September 17 from 6pm - 7:30pm at Windmill Island Gardens with Michigan State University Extension Horticulture Educator, Deanna F. Hedlund, for De Tuin Klas - Branching Out to learn all the basics of knowing which types of trees are best for your space, and how to make them thrive! All participants will even get to take home a tree sapling to plant at home!🌳
