Our road garage is out on Brown Road in Jerusalem Township, Ohio Government today, clearing debris and log jams from Moritz Ditch. Crews are removing branches, trunks and dead trees and chopping them up for transport.

Please slow down when approaching the crews. Work is taking up a lane and listen to workers directing traffic.

Geddis Paving & Excavating, Inc. crews are finishing up concrete work this week. Paving gets underway starting Tuesday and will run all week.

This is our final roundabout project of the season and we are in the final two week stretch. It's been a long construction season but we're looking forward to having this improved, safer intersection back open to the public.

It's done. US 20A and Strayer Road roundabout is open to the public!

Happy Friday!

The roundabout at Strayer Road and U.S. 20A is now open in Maumee/Monclova Township!

Westbound motorists will notice a “bump” sign as you are approaching the roundabout. The transition from old pavement to new pavement is a slight dip down, which will require a 1-day closure within the next few weeks (date tbd). Please use caution in the area as motorists adapt to the new configuration!

SYLVANIA/BANCROFT BRIDGE UPDATES
We are hopeful we will have both bridges on Sylvania Ave and Bancroft St reopened tomorrow morning. The final task is striping the decks and short asphalt approaches on each side and this work cannot be done while the ground is wet. Unfortunately, on and off rain today threw a wrench into that work for today.

We know there is rain in the forecast for the next two days, but we are hoping tomorrow morning, there's a dry opening to get this work completed and both roads reopened to drivers. You can expect a post from us as soon as that work is complete.

Crews worked on concrete curb all week and that will continue into mid next-week along with center and splitter island work.

We could possibly see paving crews late next week, but crews either way will be preparing the road base for paving the following week.

REMINDER: The township portion of PNS Road located east of the intersection is a one-way road that runs north. This is not to be used for two-way traffic.

🚧 BANCROFT ST BRIDGE
Concrete repairs are finishing up on our overlay repair on Bancroft, just east of Lagenderfer in Spencer Township.

These pics from last week saw Vernon Nagel, Inc. making necessary repairs to weak spots in the overlay before pouring fresh concrete to settle this week.

Both this bridge project and the Sylvania Ave project will see paving crews arrive Monday to put fresh asphalt down on the approaches along wit grooving and striping work. Both bridges will be back open by the end of next week!

🚧 Sylvania Ave Update

The bridge repairs are almost complete. Vernon Nagel, Inc. crews poured the concrete for the overlay and the approaches last week. It takes a week for that concrete to cure. In the meantime, they have been completing work over at our Bancroft St bridge project.

Both roads/bridges are still on schedule to reopen by their target date of Oct. 14. Once the concrete work is complete on both, paving crews will come through and pave both bridges at once.
