Getting a library card is free and easy! Just come to the library with proof of residency (such as a utility bill with your name on it) and we can get you set up to borrow materials from our library and any other library in Niagara, Genesee, or Orleans counties. Days We Are Closed:

🔦 YOU'RE NOT COMING TO WATCH A GHOST HUNT. YOU'RE DOING ONE.

What happens inside the Community Free Library after everyone goes home?
This October, we're turning off the lights and handing you the investigation equipment.

Library After Dark isn't a haunted house. There are no actors hiding behind the stacks, no scripted scares and no tour guide leading you from room to room.

You get 1 hour and 45 minutes inside the library after dark to conduct your own paranormal investigation.

👻 Paranormal investigation kits provided
🔦 Explore the library at your own pace
📚 Investigate areas where unusual activity has been reported
👥 Only 10 investigators per session
🌙 8 PM & 10 PM — $15 | Midnight — $25

We've heard stories of shadows, unexplained footsteps, cold spots, books found off shelves, doors opening and closing, and even rocking chairs moving when no one was nearby.

Are they paranormal? Completely explainable? Something in between?

That's for you to investigate.
Available every Friday & Saturday night in October.

🎃👻 SPOOKY SEASON IS TAKING OVER THE COMMUNITY FREE LIBRARY!

We've got a little something for everyone this October—from local legends and paranormal investigations to spooky reads, unusual vendors, and Halloween fun!

Here's what's happening in Holley:

📖 October 24 | 5 PM – Author Reading & Book Signing Local author Raymond J. Santoro joins us for a reading from his newest book, Beyond Haunted Holley: Further Tales of Mystery and the Unexplained. Open to the public!

🔦 Fridays & Saturdays in October – Library After Dark Ever wondered what happens in the library after closing? Grab an investigation kit and explore the stacks during our self-guided paranormal experience!

8 PM & 10 PM sessions: $15

Midnight sessions: $25

Limited to 10 tickets per session. Advance tickets required!

🕷️ October 31 | 12–6 PM – Autumn & Oddities Market Our first-ever Halloween market featuring local vendors, spooky creations, creepy critters, delicious treats, and more! Plus, FREE pumpkins for kids to decorate or take home, generously donated by local farms! Pumpkin fun begins at 10 AM.

Whether you're here for the books, the boos, or the bizarre, there's something waiting for you at the library this spooky season!
