Happy Halloween from the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office!!!

10/29/2026

The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office was excited to be part of the San Benito County YMCA’s Spooktacular event this past Friday.

We had a great time connecting with our community, enjoying the Halloween festivities, and celebrating the season with local families.

Events like these are a wonderful opportunity for our Deputies and staff to engage with community members, build positive relationships, and help make our community a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
A big thank you to the San Benito County YMCA for hosting such a fun event and to everyone who came out to celebrate with us! We appreciate the opportunity to be part of this amazing community. 🧡🖤🎃👻

🎓 PLEASE JOIN US IN CONGRATULATING OUR NEWEST GRADUATES! 🎓

The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office is proud to congratulate Mayvene Molina, Justin Bartra, and Christian Rodriguez on successfully graduating from the Adult Corrections Academy 36 at the Santa Clara County Justice training center in Morgan Hill.

This accomplishment represents months of hard work, dedication, discipline, and sacrifice, including time spent away from family and loved ones. Their graduation marks an important milestone as they prepare to begin their careers serving our community. We are grateful for the time and dedication they have put in.

Although the work performed inside our correctional facility often goes unseen by the public, our Correctional Deputies play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of our facility while providing professional care and supervision to those in our custody.

We are proud of Mavene, Justin, and Christian’s on this accomplishment and look forward to seeing them grow in their careers.

Congratulations on this well-earned achievement!

Interesting in joining them? We’re hiring in both our custody and patrol divisions. Visit governmentjobs.com for more information.

FROM EXPLORER TO PEACE OFFICER 👮‍♂️

The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office is proud to congratulate former Sheriff’s Office Youth Explorer Diego Torres on successfully graduating the Police Academy yesterday.

Long before being sworn in as a Hollister Police Officer, Diego was already taking steps towards a career in law enforcement through our Youth Explorer Program. As an Explorer, Diego had the opportunity to learn about the profession, participate in mock law enforcement scenarios, and serve alongside members of our agency at community events, gaining valuable insight into what it means to serve a community.

we couldn’t be more proud to see that early interest and dedication come full circle.

Congratulations, Diego!!!!

For those interested in joining our Explorer program, you can contact Deputy Pastrana or Multi-Service Officer Gonzalez at 831-636-4080 ext. 433 or ext. 454.
