Flashback Friday: The F-15 Eagle! 🦅

The legendary F-15A/B Eagle called Holloman home from 1977 to 1992, serving with the 49th Tactical Fighter Wing and helping shape the future of air-combat training. 📚

In 1980, two Holloman-based F-15s made history by flying approximately 6,200 miles in just over 14 hours, with six aerial refuelings along the way! Talk about going the distance. 🤯

Those who have base access can visit a static display F-15 up close at Heritage Park! ✈
