This morning, members of the Hollywood Police Department proudly participated in the Ryan Owens Memorial Run, honoring the life and legacy of Navy SEAL Ryan Owens, who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

We stand alongside the Owens family as they continue to honor Ryan’s memory and legacy. We are especially honored to have Ryan’s brother, Officer Mike Owens, as a member of the Hollywood Police Department family. His dedication to service and commitment to our community reflect the same spirit of courage and selflessness that Ryan embodied.

Today, we joined fellow law enforcement officers, military personnel, first responders, and community members in remembering a true American hero whose sacrifice will never be forgotten.

🇺🇸 Never forgotten. Always honored. Always remembered.

Today during Career Day at Beachside Montessori Village, Hollywood Police officers, including K9 Casey, Officer Leonti, members of our Crime Scene Unit, SWAT Team, and K9 Apprehension Unit, spent the day connecting with students and sharing what each specialized unit has to offer.

Students had the opportunity to learn about the many career paths within law enforcement, see specialized equipment up close, and ask questions about the important work our officers do each day to serve and protect the community.

Career Day also featured several other agencies and professions, including Hollywood Fire Rescue and the United States Coast Guard, giving students a wide look at future career opportunities and public service roles.

Thank you to Beachside Montessori Village for inviting us to be part of such a great event and inspiring the next generation.
