Hollywood Fire Rescue took part in a large‑scale regional hazardous materials training exercise at Chase Stadium, joining agencies from across South Florida for a full‑scenario drill.
The training challenged teams to identify hazardous threats, manage large‑scale decontamination, coordinate medical response, and work through complex decision‑making under pressure, all within the setting of a simulated emergency at a major public venue.
These multi‑agency exercises strengthen communication, sharpen technical skills, and ensure that when real incidents occur, our crews and our regional partners are ready to respond seamlessly and effectively.

Hollywood Fire Rescue’s crew from Engine 5 had an amazing time participating in Oakridge Elementary School’s Career Day yesterday!
The students learned what it’s like to be a firefighter, explored the engine up close, and of course, everyone’s favorite, they got the chance to spray the hose. Their excitement and curiosity made the day unforgettable.
The kids had a great time, and so did we. 🚒🧯
