It is with heavy hearts that the Holts Summit Fire Protection District shares the news of the passing of retired Firefighter and Apparatus Operator Leonard Champlain.

​Leonard retired from the district in December of 2022 after 15 years of dedicated service to our community. ​His contributions to the Holts Summit Fire Protection District and the community he protected will never be forgotten.

​Please keep Leonard’s family, friends, and his brother and sister firefighters in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Rest easy, brother. We have the watch from here.

🚨 District Personnel Deployed for FIFA World Cup Operations! ⚽🚒
When the eyes of the world are on Missouri, our team is ready to step up behind the scenes!

Six of our very own have from the Holts Summit Fire Protection District deployed to Kansas City and in Jefferson City, providing critical operational support for the FIFA World Cup events. They are working hard in partnership with the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) to ensure public safety, logistics, and emergency coordination run flawlessly.

🚒 NEW APPARATUS ALERT! 🚒

​We have some exciting news to share! The Holts Summit Fire Protection District has officially placed an order for a brand-new Pierce aerial apparatus. This new truck will replace our current 2003 Pierce aerial, which was purchased in 2014 and has served our community faithfully for the last 12 years.
​
None of this would be possible without YOU—our incredible community. Thanks to your overwhelming support in renewing our recent bond, we are able to replace apparatus in our aging fleet and keep our district moving forward.
​
WHY THIS MATTERS:

• ​Enhanced Safety: The new Pierce aerial comes equipped with advanced, modern safety features designed to provide maximum protection for our firefighters when they respond to emergencies.

• ​Reliable Service: The need for apparatus to assist with response to elevated structures has grown since the passing of the initial bond in 2008. Replacing a 23-year-old apparatus ensures we maintain the high-quality, dependable fire protection and rescue services you expect and deserve.

• ​Future Ready: This investment keeps our department equipped to handle the growing needs of Holts Summit and the surrounding area for years to come.

A committee formed by the Fire Chief has worked diligently to ensure this apparatus meets the needs of the community, keeps our responders safe, and will protect us for the next 20+ years.

New Pierce Order! 🚒

Holts Summit Fire Protection District is adding a new Pierce Enforcer 100-Foot Ascendant Mid-Mount Platform to their fleet. Equipped with a 2,000-g.p.m. pump and TAK-4 front and rear suspension, this apparatus is built to perform when it matters most. Thanks to the Pierce and MacQueen stock program, Holts Summit will take delivery in just 4–5 months.
