🏺 History came to life in Dr. Morris’s Social Studies Class

Students have been discussing the customs of Egypt. One custom discussed today was mummification. In this process, the body is being prepared for burial by 1. Removal of the organs 2. Removing blood and salting the body 3. Stuffing the body 4. Wrapping the body in white linen before placing it in a casket. Students were able to practice wrapping a classmate laying on a table using toilet paper. Dr. Morris’ homeroom saw her become mummified.

Their careful wrapping and teamwork had Dr. Morris joking that she had a classroom full of future first responders and nurses! 💜💛
