NO PARKING ALERT: WEST 14TH STREET
Wednesday, October 14, starting at 7 AM
200 and 300 blocks of West 14th Street
For our West Side neighbors who have spent (essentially) the last 84 years living through the lead service line replacement work, there's good news. The end is in sight.
But first, they need your parking spaces.
ALL VEHICLES MUST BE MOVED BEFORE 7 AM TOMORROW (WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14).
Crews will be milling the street to prepare it for paving. The affected areas should already have no-parking signs posted, and Pennsylvania American Water should have contacted account holders by phone. But we know notices don't always reach everyone, so we're sharing this reminder as well.
Unfortunately for everyone, vehicles left in the posted areas may be towed. We'd rather not have an officer knocking on your door or your car meeting a tow truck before everyone has finished their morning coffee. Please move your vehicle before 7 AM.
As for paving, that depends on the weather. Crews may be able to finish the work the same day, or they may need to return later.
The road is expected to reopen by 5 PM, possibly sooner. However, that doesn't necessarily mean the paving will be finished. Additional parking restrictions may be needed, so please continue to follow the dates and times on posted signs.
