Today marks the 26th anniversary of the Line of Duty Death of Tinley Park Fire Department Captain Thomas G. Gotkowski.

At 55 years old, Captain Gotkowski passed after 24 years of dedicated service and sacrifice for the TPFD and our community.

Please join us today in honoring his memory with a moment of reflection. We keep his family, loved ones, and fellow firefighters in our thoughts and prayers as we remember his legacy.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for the FY2027 Small Equipment Grant Program. This year, applicants will be eligible for up to $50,000 for the purchase of small firefighting and ambulance equipment.
