Today, our firefighters worked on sharpening their skills in firefighter-down scenarios and victim removal from structures. These hands-on training exercises prepare our team to respond when a firefighter is in distress and to safely locate and remove victims during emergencies.

Continued training helps us stay prepared, work as a team and provide the best possible service to our community.

Thank you to South Greenville for letting us use their burn tower!

Today we remember the lives lost and the heroes who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

343 firefighters. 23 NYPD officers. 37 Port Authority officers. And thousands of innocent lives were taken far too soon.

We remember the courage, sacrifice and selflessness displayed that day. We remember the families who lost loved ones. We remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS providers, and countless civilians who ran toward danger when others were running away.

25 years later, we continue to carry their memory with us.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Over the past several months, Dunklin Fire Rescue has continued making significant investments in the services we provide:

• 24-hour staffing at Headquarters

• Expanded Basic Life Support services

• $181,000 dedicated for future capital improvements

• A new LUCAS chest compression system through grant funding

Every improvement represents our commitment to providing the highest level of emergency service while being responsible stewards of public resources.

We are proud of the progress we've made, and we're even more excited about what's ahead.

Last week, two of our members successfully completed the Greenville City Summer Program!

Congratulations to Firefighter Donnie Langston and Firefighter Kade Lyndaker on this outstanding achievement. They both completed the program with dedication, determination, and a commitment to serving our community. We couldn’t be more proud to have them as brothers in the Dunklin Fire Rescue family.

Following their graduation, Captain Feusse had the honor of presenting each of them with their official department badge, and Chief Thomas proudly presented them with the Chief’s challenge coin as a symbol of dedication, service and excellence.

Please join us in congratulating Donnie and Kade on this incredible accomplishment. When you see them around, be sure to let them know how proud we all are of everything they’ve achieved.

Congratulations, brothers! Your hard work has paid off, and we look forward to serving alongside you for many years to come.

Planning Today for Tomorrow's Needs

Responsible financial stewardship is just as important as emergency response.

Dunklin Fire Rescue has established $181,000 in dedicated capital reserves to support future equipment purchases, apparatus replacement, and long-term improvements.

These funds are specifically reserved for capital projects, ensuring today's planning helps prepare us for tomorrow's emergencies.

We remain committed to being good stewards of taxpayer dollars while building a stronger fire department for years to come.

Better Medical Care Starts Here.

Along with 24-hour staffing, Dunklin Fire Rescue has expanded emergency medical services by placing a Basic Life Support (BLS) response unit in service from Headquarters.

Our staffed apparatus is now equipped to provide care up to the EMT level, allowing us to begin treatment immediately while working alongside our EMS partners.

Faster medical care can make a significant difference during emergencies, and we're proud to bring this enhanced level of service to our community.

Every improvement we make is focused on one goal: Taking care of our neighbors when they need us most.
