Mahalo to our awesome ʻAiea Complex Honolulu Parks & Recreation team for putting together another year of FREE fun for our keiki, ʻohana, and community.

Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume and enjoy games, candy, treats, and a safe place for our families to celebrate together!

It’s always so great to see my Honolulu Youth Commission appointee Arabella Cruz. Normally we get together on City matters, but this time around we are at Farrington High School Community Council’s (SCC) Community Meeting to hear about the school’s academic and financial plans. It is so great to see the 𝔾 𝕆 𝕍 𝕃 ❤️ 𝕍 𝔼 ‘ohana because I also served on the SCC before running for office!

I’ll be there with my team passing out candy, and we hope to see you folks there! Bring the kids, dress up in your favorite costumes, and come enjoy a fun-filled evening with our community.

Attention Neighbors! 🚧
Beginning October 19, 2026, the City’s Department of Design and Construction (HNL) will begin erosion control improvements along Moanalua Road near Pearlridge Elementary School.

Construction is expected to continue through March 2027, weather and site conditions permitting.

⚠️ Motorists and pedestrians should anticipate weekday lane and sidewalk closures from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The mauka-side sidewalk will be closed, with pedestrians detoured to the makai-side sidewalk.

Please use caution, follow posted signs, and allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Mahalo for your patience and understanding as these improvements help protect and restore the slopes along Moanalua Road!

The Honolulu Charter Commission page and website has an overview of where you can find information on all 20 questions, including what the current situation is and what would happen if each proposal passes.
