The Social Security Administration announced a 3.6% cost-of-living adjustment for 2027, increasing Social Security payments by an average of $75 per month beginning in January. In Hawai'i 310,761 residents receive Social Security. That's about one in five residents.

10/15/2026

AARP is committed to protecting Social Security from cuts and privatization and will never stop fighting against efforts that threaten the financial security Americans have earned through a lifetime of hard work.
