Change can be exciting, challenging, or a little bit of both. Some of us make a plan, some lean on the people around us, and others just take things one day at a time.

We want to hear from you. Share what works for you in the comments.

A quick heads-up for anyone planning to drop off donations at our Community Clearinghouse.

To make room for Adopt a Family activities, gifts, and distributions, the Community Clearinghouse will not accept regular donation drop-offs starting in November.

Regular donation drop-off hours will resume in January. We appreciate your understanding as our warehouse and team focus on making the holidays brighter for local families and kūpuna.

Sandy knows her way around the numbers. As part of our Accounting team, she’s always the person our team turns to when something needs a little number crunching.

Sandy credits a good night’s sleep with helping her through a busy week. Outside the office, you’ll likely find her enjoying two favorites: sushi and a boba.

And the value she tries to carry through it all? Be kind and grateful.

Adam Bogucki has always been a connector. He enjoys bringing people together, finding common ground, and creating relationships that can lead to something meaningful.

That same spirit is part of what Adam brings to the Helping Hands Hawai‘i Board of Directors. As a father, he feels an especially strong connection to Ready to Learn and Adopt a Family and the joy these programs can bring to local keiki and families.

When he’s not working or giving back, Adam loves exploring Hawai‘i, from the beaches and mountains to the food and culture that made living here a longtime dream.

For Adam, it all comes back to leaving his team and community better than he found them.

Mahalo, Adam, for being part of Helping Hands Hawai‘i.
