📸 Pic of the Week: Deerhorn Tower Foundation Progress

Crews have laid the foundation for the Deerhorn Communication Tower, following the completion of design, environmental studies, and materials testing.

Funded by the NTIA, Deerhorn is a key component of the network and one of two new communication towers being built through the project, alongside Jones Point. Once complete, it will help support reliable, high-speed internet across the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation and surrounding areas.

📸 Pic of the Week: HVPUD & CDT meet in Hoopa for SB156

A historic milestone for digital sovereignty in our region. The Hoopa Valley Tribe is proud to stand as the first tribal joint builder in the State of California. Building this infrastructure is just the beginning—we look forward to a strong, ongoing relationship maintaining our section of the Middle Mile for generations to come.

The California Department of Technology (CDT) visited Hoopa today for an informal touch-base on the SB156 Middle Mile Broadband Project. HVPUD and CDT are partners in this project, and both teams are looking forward to its completion in the next few months.
