🇺🇸25 years later, we remember the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the first responders, military members, and everyday Americans who showed incredible courage and sacrifice.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Thank you to all the volunteers and everyone who made this possible.

Hoosick Falls showed up for its pets. 💙🐾

At yesterday’s free community vaccination clinic, our team vaccinated 73 dogs and 5 cats, 78 pets in all.

In the midst of a local parvovirus outbreak, every vaccination helps protect individual pets and strengthens the health of the community as a whole. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to get their pets vaccinated and help prevent the spread of this disease.

A huge thank you to Petco Love for generously providing the vaccines and to the Hoosick Falls Police Department, NY for their partnership and support in making this clinic possible.

Thank you, Hoosick Falls, for taking care of one another, both our two-legged and four-legged neighbors.

Press release

09/06/2026

Local veterinarians have confirmed numerous cases of canine parvovirus (Parvo) stemming from the area of Center and 5th street.

Parvo is a highly contagious and potentially deadly viral disease that primarily affects dogs, especially puppies and unvaccinated dogs. It spreads through infected f***s and can survive in the environment for extended periods, making it very easy to transmit between dogs.

Common symptoms include severe vomiting, diarrhea (often bloody), loss of appetite, lethargy, and dehydration. Without prompt veterinary treatment, Parvo can be fatal.

If your dog or puppy is showing these symptoms, contact your veterinarian immediately and avoid contact with other dogs.

Please make sure your dogs are properly vaccinated and avoid areas where infected dogs may have been present.

The Hoosick Falls Police Department is asking residents to use caution and take appropriate precautions to protect their pets.

After six months of training, Officer Dort and Officer Charette are officially graduates of the Police Academy👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

Please join us in congratulating them on this incredible accomplishment. They put in countless hours of training, studying, and hard work to reach this point, and we couldn’t be prouder.

We look forward to watching them grow as officers and, most importantly, to seeing the positive impact they will have on the Hoosick Falls community.
