One teacher can spark a passion that lasts a lifetime!

HCS Board of Edu VP Rex Blair visited Mrs. Manly’s AP Physics class at HHS to share how his own high school physics teacher inspired his interest in the subject and helped shape his future.

Mr. Blair knows firsthand how education can open doors to incredible opportunities! His passion for physics has taken him from earning degrees at West Point and Harvard to teaching physics at West Point and serving 20 years in the U.S. Army, including service in Iraq.

His message to students? Find something you enjoy, work hard at it, and never underestimate your ability to solve big problems. Physics is about more than formulas and equations, he said. It teaches us how to approach challenges, break them down, and find solutions that can make a difference in the world.

What a great reminder that the lessons learned in our classrooms today can inspire the possibilities of tomorrow!

Be our guest! 🌹 Our Simmons Middle School students brought the magic to the stage in Beauty and the Beast Jr. Students from many of our elementary schools enjoyed the show, and we’re so proud of the talent and hard work our Simmons students shared with their younger peers.

Bravo to Bravo! Our very first FIDOS school facility dog has officially graduated 🎓

Bravo has completed his specialized training and is officially ready to serve as a school facility dog, playing an important role by providing comfort, building connections, and offering a calming presence when students need it most.

We are so excited about the positive impact Bravo will have on our students and staff. A big shoutout to FIDOS for preparing Bravo for this special role and to our PTA for helping make this possible!

We love seeing our high school students lead by example and invest in our younger student leaders!

Our elementary student leaders spent the day at Spain Park High School for the SGA Leadership Academy. Through activities focused on teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity, our students got a firsthand look at what it means to be a leader.

Our families are amazing! They do so much to support our schools, students, and staff, and this week we felt that love at the Central Office!

A big thank you to the Hoover High School PTSO for treating our team to snacks and a dirty soda bar! The Dolly theme was the perfect touch and made it even more fun! We are so thankful for our families. We hope everyone has a great Fall Break.
