What a great day at the Hudson Farm Charity Hike!

It takes a community to make a community, and today was a wonderful reminder of just that!

This is truly one of our favorite community events of the year, bringing together neighbors, friends, volunteers, and local organizations for a beautiful fall day of hiking, friendship, and supporting one another.

A big thank you to the Lake Hopatcong Foundation for organizing this fantastic event and to Hudson Farm for hosting and sponsoring the day!

Thank you to everyone who came out to hike, support our local organizations, and help make the day such a success. It's the participation and generosity of our community that make events like this so special.

Members of the Hopatcong Fire Department had a great time cooking lunch for everyone and being part of the festivities!

Let's show some local support for Sussex Tech! 🖤💛

Sussex County Technical School is the only New Jersey school competing in T-Mobile's Friday Night 5G Lights competition for a chance to win $250,000!

With Hopatcong residents attending Sussex Tech, this is a great opportunity to come together and support our local students and their school.

🥾🌲 Come out and support the Hopatcong Fire Department and other local organizations!

The annual Hudson Farm Hopatcong Charity Hike is coming up on Saturday, October 17!

This free event is a wonderful opportunity to explore the beautiful grounds of Hudson Farm, normally closed to the public, while supporting organizations that serve our Hopatcong community.

Members of the Hopatcong Fire Department will be there cooking lunch for everyone to enjoy after their hike!

📅 Saturday, October 17
📍 Hudson Farm Club, 270 Sparta Stanhope Road
🥾 Trail open from 7:30 to 11 AM
🌳 Senior clubhouse tours also available
☀️ Rain or shine | Free admission

This year’s event is being hosted by the Sussex Fire Department.

We’ve had many people asking about the parade route!!!!

Here’s the parade route! Like the parade in July, line up will be on Libertyville Rd, the parade will kick off at 1pm and head south on Rt 23(Clove Ave.), straight on to Main St. , turn right on to 23 N, straight through the intersection on to Loomis Ave. ending at the Sussex Fire House.

Roads will be closing at 12 pm.
Road Closures are as follows:
Rt. 23 NB & SB from Rt 284(East Main St) to Layton Rd(Tractor Supply)
Libertyville Rd
Loomis Ave
Main St.

Detours will be in place!

Information on busing for spectators will be posted later this week with parking locations.

The Hopatcong Fire Department extends our deepest condolences to JTFD1 and its members on the passing of Past Chief and Past President Guy Bakera.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and the entire JTFD1 community during this difficult time. Rest easy, Chief.

This evening, members of the Hopatcong Fire Department joined our community at Borough Hall to mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Together, we remembered the lives lost, honored those who served and responded, and reflected on the strength of our community. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
