East Fishkill Fire District 9/11 Ceremony of Remembrance to be held on Saturday, September 12th at 7:30 pm at our Headquarters 2502 Route 52.

Please join us as we mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks and honor the 343 FDNY firefighters, 37 Port Authority police officers, 23 NYPD officers, and 8 EMTs and paramedics who made the supreme sacrifice in service to others.
We will also pay tribute to the more than 600 first responders who have died from 9/11‑related illnesses in the years since, whose courage and commitment continue to define the legacy of that day.

One of the worst days in America's history saw some of the bravest acts in America's history. We'll always honor the heroes of 9/11.

The East Fishkill Fire District relies heavily on the dedication of volunteers. When your neighbors call 911 for fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, or other emergency assistance, it’s ordinary people doing extraordinary work who show up to help.

What we provide:
* Fully funded, professional-grade training
* Top-tier safety gear and equipment
* A tight-knit support network and second family
* Length of Service awards program
* Partial school and property tax exemptions
* NYS volunteer firefighter training stipend program after successful completion of eligible courses
What we need:
* Neighbors ready to learn and work hard
* Individuals looking to make a direct impact right here at home

You don't need previous experience—just a willingness and dedication to serve. If you have an interest in joining our organization please stop by your local firehouse on Monday evenings or call 845-226-1652 for further information.

We hope you enjoy this video content.

Today members of the East Fishkill Fire District and East Fishkill Rescue Squad in conjunction with the East Fishkill Police Department, a local judge, Dutchess County coroner's office and LifeNet helicopter will be performing a *Mock* DUI drill in the area of John Jay High School/Rt 52/Patriot Way.

This drill is being done for John Jay students to drive home the impact and potentially horrific outcomes of driving under the influence. During this graduation and prom season we would like all of our friends at the high school and beyond to make good, safe decisions.

In that area today there will be minor road closures and you will see a lot of police, fire, and ambulance activity. We assure you that everything is fine.
