Hopkinsville Child Development Center Welcome - to Hopkinsville Child Development Center the first and only Bilingual child care center in town. HCDC teaches in both languages Spanish and English.

With a focus on dual language learning, individual cognitive, social,and physical development. With a focus on a dual language program, individual cognitive, social and physical development, the bilingual teachers and staff at HCDC all work towards the same mission: Through an emergent bilingual curriculum and culturally rich environment we nurture children, preparing them to be successful in life, confident learners and true friends. A quality Immersion based bilingual educational program is at the heart of the HCDC curriculum. Through constant exposure to the Spanish language, cultural activities, games, songs and books, children at Hopkinsville Child Development Center are developing oral language skills in both English and Spanish. With a focus on individual development, HCDC stresses small class sizes and excellent teacher/ student ratios. HCDC provides a bilingual educational program for a culturally diverse population of children. We are a year-round program open from 5:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday. Providing services for children of 6weeks - 12 years of age. Bilingual Education for your child! HCDC is delighted to offer children a Spanish and English Immersion language program naturally infused into our traditional academic curriculum. Languages are most easily learned during the early years as a child's brain is developing and readily absorbs a second language. Our children are learning Spanish and English through an immersion model approach. The research is clear: early exposure to a foreign language provides numerous lifelong benefits including stronger cognitive skills; higher standardized test scores; appreciation and tolerance for other cultures; heightened creativity; and greater career opportunities.

What counts for Book Day?
Board books, picture books, early readers, chapter books — anything a child from toddler through middle school would want to read. New or gently used is perfect. One book gets you the offer; bring as many as you'd like. The books you donate will go to Hopkinsville Child Development Center.
