In collaboration with Cornell Cooperative Extension's NY Farm to Schools program, Horseheads Food Services featured local ingredients during a "NY Menu Day" tasting event for students at the Intermediate and Middle Schools on Thursday.

The tasting menu featured ground beef from Rosenkrans in Auburn, NY; Wheatberries from Gianforte Farm in Cazenovia and Farmer Ground Flour in Trumansburg; and milk from Upstate Niagara Cooperative in Buffalo.

Staff wore special "Local Roots" kitchen smocks to note the occasion.

📚 The Scholastic Book Fair is here! 📚
Remember the excitement of picking out the book you couldn’t wait to bring home? For many of us, that feeling is pure nostalgia.

This week Big Flats and Gardner Road elementary and Intermediate students can browse books, graphic novels, activity books, journals, bookmarks, school supplies and more! Ridge Road will welcome the Book Fair next week.

Happy reading, Raiders! 📖
