FREE SMARTPHONE AND WIRELESS SERVICE OPPORTUNITY

The Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas will be hosting TruConnect at the Senior Citizen Center to assist eligible households with enrollment in the Lifeline Program.

November 3, 4, & 5, 2026
9:30 a,m, - 5:30 p.m.
Kickapoo Senior Citizen Center 885112th Drive, Horton, KS 66439

Eligibility may be based on participation in qualifying programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Tribal TANF, BIA General Assistance, Veterans Pension/Survivors Benefits, or by meeting income guidelines.

Please bring a current, unexpired State or Tribal photo ID. Additional documentation may be needed to verify eligibility.

You do not have to be a senior citizen to apply. This event is being held at the Senior Citizen Center and is open to individuals who meet the Lifeline eligibility requirements.

Please SHARE to help us get the word out to Tribal and community members who may qualify!

THANK YOU FOR A GREAT POOL TOURNAMENT!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out, participated, and supported the Pool Tournament! Thank you to everyone who stopped by for delicious breakfast burritos or enchiladas!

We appreciate all of our players for bringing some friendly competition and making it a fun event for everyone. Thank you as well to everyone who helped organize, set up, keep things running, and make the tournament a success.

Congratulations to our winners and thank you to ALL of our players! The winner donated the winnings back to the Pow Wow Committee - Thank you!

It was great seeing everyone come together, have some fun, and enjoy a little friendly competition.

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful vendors and to all of the Auxiliary members who worked so hard to help make this event a success!

From setting up and preparing to cooking, serving, helping throughout the day, and cleaning up afterward—your time, hard work, and willingness to pitch in made it all possible.

We truly appreciate everyone who participated, volunteered, stopped by, and supported the event. It takes a community working together to make days like this successful, and we are grateful for each and every one of you!

Harvest Season Means Extra Wear on Our Roads

It's a busy time of year for our area, and increased traffic and heavy equipment can take a heavy toll on our roads. We appreciate our one-man road crew for his commitment and hard work in maintaining our roads for our members, employees, visitors, and community.

Thank you for all you do!

Please remember to slow down and use extra caution around road work areas and farm equipment during harvest season.
