Turnout for the first day of early voting was approx. 20% higher than it was on the first early voting day of the 2022 Midterms. 2,569 ballots were cast. Many of the voters arrived carrying sample ballots where they had planned ahead how they would vote.

Registration deadline was Oct. 5, but edits such as name or address changes can be made through the County Clerk's office at 501 Ouachita in the historic courthouse building between 8-5 Mon-Fri

Logic and accuracy testing of each piece of equipment bring used in the General Election will be conducted on Wed., Oct. 7 beginning at 9AM. The public is invited to the Garland Co Election Commission building, 649 Ouachita Ave, to observe this process.

Learn about the 4 STATEWIDE ballot issues on Tues. Oct. 6 at the Garland County Library. The public is invited to a unbiased presentation by Cooperative Extension Agent, Alison Crane, using research from the Public Policy Center at the University of Arkansas. The program begins at 6 PM and will also be streamed live on the GC Library's page and YouTube channel. It will remain available until Election Day.

Sample Ballots for Garland County are now available at www.voterview.org Just enter your first & last name & date of birth.
If your record is not found, contact the Garland Co Clerk at 501-622-3610. (It is possible you could have been removed if you didn't vote in the last two federal elections.)

Voter registration ends on Monday, Oct. 5th.
Applications for absentee ballots may also be obtained from the county clerk at 501 Ouachita Ave Room 103 (court house)

The Garland County Election Commission will meet Wed. Aug. 26th at 10 AM to proof read the ballots for the General Election. The meeting will be held at the Election Commission building 649-A Ouachita Ave. The public is invited to observe this process.

Candidates will draw to determine the order in which they are listed on the ballot for the General Election this fall.
The public is welcome to attend.
