Just a reminder that property taxes are due October 31, 2026!

📬 Mailed payments must be postmarked on or before October 31 to avoid additional interest.

⏰ As the deadline approaches, hold time and lines at the Treasurer's Office may be longer than usual. We encourage everyone to plan ahead to avoid unnecessary delays.

The Fall RiverOglala Lakota County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, October 12, 2026 in observance of Native American Day. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

Beginning July 1, 2026, the Treasurer's Office will be closed daily from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Last customer must be at the window by 12:30 p.m. to ensure processing is complete by 1:00 p.m.

**Note that there are no Democratic races therefore no ballot for those registered as Democrat. There is a Republican ballot available, but note that only Republicans can vote on a Republican ballot.

📢 Property Tax Reminder - 1st 1/2 Taxes are due!

First Half Property taxes are due April 30, 2026.

✔️ Mail-in payments: We honor the postmark date of April 30 or earlier.
✔️ In-person payments: Accepted at the office until 5:00 PM (MT) on April 30, 2026.
✔️ Phone payments: Available with a 2.5% service fee

⚠️ Please don’t wait until the last minute—customers in the office have first priority. So if calling in to pay on the last day you may not get through.

⏳ Interest will begin accruing on May 1, 2026
