🔎 A HIDDEN DETAIL AT THE BUCKSTAFF!

Did you know there’s a purposely misplaced tile in each tiled area of the Buckstaff? 👀

When the tile was installed, the setters intentionally placed one tile out of alignment with its pattern. Why? To represent the beauty of an imperfect world and the uniqueness of nature, where nothing is ever exactly alike. ❤️

It’s a subtle reminder that even in carefully crafted designs, perfection isn’t always the point. Sometimes, it’s the little imperfections that make something truly special.

Named for brothers George and Milo Buckstaff, the Buckstaff Bathhouse opened its doors on February 1, 1912, bringing a distinctive vision of traditional thermal bathing to Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Designed by architect Frank W. Gibb, our neoclassical landmark has stood proudly on Bathhouse Row for more than a century. Its stately columns, graceful symmetry, and timeless craftsmanship reflect an era when architecture was built to make a lasting impression.

More than 114 years later, the Buckstaff remains the only bathhouse on Bathhouse Row to have operated continuously as a bathhouse since opening.

We're proud to be part of the history of Hot Springs National Park and to carry forward the legacy associated with the Buckstaff name.

Imagine strolling down Bathhouse Row more than a century ago, when horse-drawn carriages rolled along Central Avenue, streetcars traveled the tracks, and downtown Hot Springs buzzed with activity.

So much has changed over the years, but one thing has remained remarkably constant: the magic of Hot Springs and its legendary thermal waters.

114 years of history, and we're proud to be part of it. ❤️

✨ Bathhouse Row, 1912. A walk through history. ✨

Imagine strolling down Bathhouse Row more than a century ago, when gentlemen wore their finest suits and hats, ladies took leisurely walks beneath the trees, and the healing thermal waters of Hot Springs drew visitors from across the country.

And there, standing proudly along this beautiful boulevard, was the Buckstaff Bathhouse, welcoming its first guests in February 1912.

So much has changed since this photograph was taken, but one thing remains the same: the Buckstaff’s place in the story of Hot Springs and its remarkable thermal waters. ❤️

114 years of history, and still part of the story.

For more than 114 years, the Buckstaff has welcomed visitors to experience the tradition of Hot Springs’ thermal waters. But behind every guest experience is something even more important: our people. 💙

We are incredibly proud of our employees, many of whom have dedicated years, even decades, to the Buckstaff. Their hard work, kindness, knowledge, and commitment have helped make this place special for generations of visitors.
