🌉 POV: Creamer Road Bridge 🌉

On October 20, 2026 The Fayette County Engineer Bridge Crew completed the rehab of Creamer Road Bridge over Sugar Creek. With a projected completion date of 90 days our bridge crew finished in 58 days. While the abutments, piers and pier caps were all in fantastic shape, the old beams and deck were beginning to show signs of fatigue, prompting a replacement of all the I beams with new galvanized I beams and a new pressure treated deck. We would like to give a HUGE pat on the back to the young men on our Bridge Crew for what they have accomplished! Good Job Fayette County Engineer Crew!

Through the week ending October 24, 2026: The following traffic advisory includes restrictions and/or short-term closures of the state highway system in ODOT District 8 due to maintenance operations. All work will be contingent upon the weather. 📍BUTLER COUNTY📍
SR 744 – Pavement patching near Waynes Trace Rd., traffic will be controlled by flaggers.
SR 126 – Pavement patching in the area of Morgan Ross Rd. traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

📍CLERMONT COUNTY📍
SR 132 – Vegetation clearing between SR 131 and the and SR 28. Watch for signs indicating a work crew is ahead. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers.
I-275 – Cable rail repair from SR 32 to Loveland Madeira Rd. Crews will be working in the center median.

📍CLINTON COUNTY📍
US 68 – Pavement patching countywide, traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

📍FAYETTE COUNTY📍
US 35 – Paving from Palmer Rd. to the Greene County line. The right lane will be closed, and traffic will be controlled with cones and barrels.

📍HAMILTON COUNTY📍
SR 128 – Mowing and vegetation clearing from US 50 to Willey Rd. Watch for signs and the safety vehicle indicating the mowing crew is ahead.
I-71 – Cleaning drainage structures from north of the Norwood Lateral to Pfeiffer Rd. Crews will be working on the shoulders and in the center median.

📍WARREN COUNTY 📍
SR 350 - Mowing from SR 123 to US 22. Watch for signs and the safety vehicle indicating the mowing crew is ahead.

I-71 – Guardrail repair from 275 to Wilmington Rd., the crew will have a crash attenuator at the repair site and will employ traffic control as needed.
I-75 – Guardrail repair from north of 275 to SR 73, the crew will have a crash attenuator at the and will employ traffic control as needed.

📢 FAYETTE COUNTY LANDFILL UPDATE 📢

We’re happy to announce that the Fayette County Landfill is now running at full capacity and on regular schedule.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience experienced yesterday while our system was down. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as Spectrum worked to get the issue resolved.

Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation! We are back up and running and ready to serve you. ♻️

🚨UPDATE🚨

Spectrum found that there was a break in the wire and they are fixing it. We hope to be back up and running as scheduled by morning but due to us being unable to process vehicles through the landfill. The landfill will remain closed today September 14, 2026. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will keep you updated as we are updated. Thank you for your patience.

‼️ FAYETTE COUNTY LANDFILL TEMPORARILY CLOSED ‼️

The Fayette County Landfill is temporarily closed due to an outage affecting the County’s server, which is related to an issue with our internet service provider.

The landfill scales operate through the County server, so until the server connection is restored, we are unable to process vehicles through the landfill.

A technician has been dispatched and is working to resolve the issue. The landfill will reopen as soon as the problem is restored and the scales are operational.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. We will provide an update once the landfill is back up and operating.

🌉PROJECT SPOTLIGHT🌉

Last Monday the Fayette County Engineer crews started the total bridge replacement of Creamer Road. This project is an important investment in our local infrastructure to ensure a safer and stronger crossing for years to come.

Please remember that Creamer Road will remained closed from State Route 41 to Wentz Road for the next 90 days while the rehabilitation of this bridge is underway.

We know road closures can be an inconvenience and we appreciate the communities patience while our crews work to complete this project safely and efficiently.

You can help ensure that safety by

1. Following all posted detour and closure signs
2. Do not drive around barricades
3. Give our crews plenty of room to work
4. Allow additional time for your commute.

We will keep the community updated as the project progresses and look forward to getting Creamer Road back open and better than ever. In the meantime, enjoy our drone images of the last week.
