Kids between the ages of 2 to 18 who qualify can sign up now to receive 5-7 lbs. of food for free each week throughout the summer.

The program is called Kidz Pacz, and it's offered by Galveston County Food Bank.

Packs of food will be distributed each week, June through mid-August. The food varies each week, but it's a selection of kid-friendly items that usually includes protein, vegetables, fruits, grains, a drink and a snack item.

Moore Memorial Public Library is one of the distribution sites for the program, and you can also sign up there.
