Imagine spending 4-5 hours a day on Zoom. Think about playing IT Tech for those unable to operate Zoom properly. Now, consider how others in a hearing may feel as the proceeding evolves into a rolling delay. That is too often the daily experience of Probate Judges and parties appearing remotely

The good news is that the probate courts have a few simple rules to help everyone have a smooth remote experience. Preparation and testing before the hearing, using the correct equipment, and finding a quiet space during the hearing are easy and will help increase efficiency for everyone.

Probate Court 1 will be closed Friday, May 17 due to storm damage and debris clean up efforts downtown. Mayor Whitmire urges businesses downtown to allow their employees to stay home so the city can work on cleaning up.

Update: 08/02/2023 1:46pm. Zoom appears to be out for everyone in Harris County. We are waiting for service to be restored. If Zoom remains out for too long, we will reset cases.
