Yesterday marked an important step forward for the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office as we began submitting handgun spent-casing data into the ATF’s NIBIN system. This effort strengthens our ability to work alongside our law enforcement partners and enhances public safety through shared intelligence and accountability. We are also proud to have established a monthly plan to submit all incoming and current fi****ms held in our Evidence and Property Room. This is a true team effort, and it reflects the dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail of our personnel. Progress like this happens because of teamwork and a shared commitment to doing the job the right way. We appreciate everyone involved for their hard work and continued dedication to serving San Jacinto County.

HCSO CSI is honored to host such a great event for forensic practitioners supporting our greater Houston and surrounding communities.

This week, members of our team had the honor of speaking with students at Sam Houston State University about careers in forensics. It was a great opportunity to share real-world experiences, answer questions, and inspire the next generation of forensic professionals.

🔬 We had the privilege of hosting an Advanced Bloodstain Pattern Analysis Course taught by the renowned Dr. Santoro in partnership with Tri-Tech Forensics!

🩸 Investigators traveled from across the globe — South Korea, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Maryland and of course, TEXAS— to deepen their expertise in this critical forensic discipline.

👏 Huge thank you to Dr. Santoro for leading an outstanding training experience and to all the dedicated professionals who made the journey to attend.
