🙏 A LITTLE ACT OF KINDNESS CAN SAVE A CHILD’S LIFE! 🙏

Today, we are once again reaching out to our compassionate and benevolent donors, kind-hearted individuals, and the general public, both at home and abroad, to help 7-year-old Baby Osman, a young boy from Bo, who is battling serious medical conditions and urgently needs our support.

For some time now, Osman has been struggling with various health challenges. His mother has been doing everything within her power to provide him with the medical care he needs. Sadly, since last month, his condition has become even more distressing, as he has been experiencing severe stomach pains.

Worried about her son’s worsening condition, his mother rushed him to Bo Government Hospital, where medical examinations, blood tests, and X-rays were conducted. The findings indicated that Osman is suffering from hernia and appendicitis, conditions that require urgent medical attention and further assessment to determine the necessary treatment.

Osman is only seven years old. He deserves the chance to live, grow, play, go to school, and enjoy the beautiful future every child deserves. No child should have to endure pain simply because their family cannot afford the cost of medical care.

The estimated cost of his surgery, medication for his per and post surgery is NLe 5,000, Nle.

Osman is just seven years old and deserves a chance to live a healthy, happy life. We cannot allow financial difficulties to stand in the way of the medical care he needs.

Training Session with Lead Volunteer Ishmeal Kanu.

At the Sick Pikin Project, we believe that helping a child begins with understanding their story and knowing how to turn that story into action.

Our volunteers recently participated in an engaging capacity-building session led by our Lead Volunteer, Ishmeal Kanu, focused on strengthening their skills in communicating the needs of vulnerable sick children.

The session reminded us that humanitarian work is not only about giving it is about understanding, connecting, advocating, and taking action.

Every child deserves a chance at life, and every volunteer has a role to play in making that chance possible.

Together, we can turn compassion into action and hope into healing. 💙🙏

Today marked the first day in the field for our new interns from FUR Sierra Leone, who have joined The Sick Pikin Project for a one-month internship programme.

After an inspiring session with our Lead Volunteer, Ishmael Kanu, on the importance of fundraising, compassion, and humanitarian service, they made a commitment to do more than simply complete an internship they chose to serve, show love, and make a difference.

Today, they stepped into the streets to raise support for vulnerable sick children. It wasn’t easy. Their hearts were heavy as they witnessed the realities faced with street fundraising, but that heaviness was melted away by the thought of families who cannot afford the medical care their children. They were able to raise the sum of NLe 221.

We are grateful for these young changemakers and pray that their compassion will continue to grow.

Together, we can give hope, restore dignity, and save lives.

Some testimonies are visible and undeniable. God is a practical God!

This is baby Mustapha, who was left with a swollen belly after surgery. There were moments when the situation looked hopeless, but God had the final say.

First, God blessed him with a strong, resilient, and faith-filled mother who refused to give up on her child. Then His grace and mercy began to unfold in ways only He can. Thank you all for your love and supports. Humanity showed true strength and together we did it.

Today, we celebrate and testify to the goodness of God in Mustapha’s life. From being a very sick child with little hope to now becoming a boy full of strength, power, joy, and a promising future, his life is a living testimony that God still works miracles.

What God has done for Mustapha, He can do for others. All glory, honor, and praise belong to God alone.

The Shri Gurudwara Sahib Lumley, comprising Indian Merchants and members of the Sikh Community in Lumley, joined hands with interns of the Sick Pikin Project to raise funds within the Lumley community in support of children living with serious medical conditions.

This laudable humanitarian initiative, led by Mohinder Bir Singh Sachdeva, CEO of Jeety Trading Company, reflects continued commitment to supporting vulnerable people alongside his usual Saturday feeding program.

The sum of NLe 2,150 was raised.

Such acts of kindness and community service continue to bring hope and relief to many children and their families.
