The Ready Heroes and School Ready programs are part of the Ready Houston program, a preparedness initiative for Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, and Montgomery Counties in southeast Texas. The program is funded by the Department of Homeland Security, and is a project of the Houston UASI Community Preparedness Committee. This site is produced by the City of Houston Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security.

The Ready Super Heroes will be participating in Harris County MHMRA's "Picnic in the Park" event. The event is for persons with autism or intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. As part of the festivities, the Ready Super Heroes will be providing emergency preparedness information.
