Every two years, the University of Houston takes 200 students along with faculty, administration, and alumni to the Texas Capitol. You will be able to meet with legislators on February 15th, 2017 to advocate for the University of Houston and the University of Houston System.

We are currently accepting applications through Student Government Association’s GetInvolved page until December 9, 2016. You will have the opportunity to apply to be a team leader. Team leaders will be able to generate conversation with their teams as well as with legislators and their associates.

Responsibilities include answering the phone and greeting visitors, coordinating tour and flag requests, managing interns, assisting in processing and drafting constituent mail, aiding with social media, and other duties as assigned. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, and be able to multitask in a fast paced environment.
