VA's National Cemetery Administration scored 98 out of 100 on the American Customer Satisfaction Index, the highest ever attained. This marks the eighth consecutive time NCA has ranked first nationwide in the survey. The average government score for 2025 is 70. No other public, private or nonprofit organization in the country has received the consistently high customer satisfaction ratings as NCA over the past decade-plus.

Houston National Cemetery routinely conducts a total cleaning of gravesites on the first Thursday of each month. Here is the 2026 calendar posted below. Please note that pickup dates may be adjusted if they interfere with an upcoming or recently observed holiday.
We encourage families to review the attached calendar for specific dates.

VA national cemeteries remain open for interments and visitation during the federal government shutdown.
Honoring our nation’s Veterans and their families is our highest priority. To request and schedule an interment, please contact the National Cemetery Scheduling Office at 1-800-535-1117, Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Eastern Time. All previously scheduled services will continue as planned.
