Early voting starts today!
The polls are open though Friday, from 7 AM to 7 PM throughout Houston. If you are voting by mail, make sure to put it into the mail ASAP! Vote and make your voices heard!

Aldine ISD Board Candidates Forum tonight!
Baker Ripley, the scheduled site for tonight's forum, has been called to duty by the Red Cross to serve in recovery efforts for families affected by an apartment fire last night in this area. As a result, we have had to change the venue!
WE WILL HOST TONIGHT'S FORUM AT THE EAST ALDINE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT OFFICE, which is directly behind Baker Ripley at 2909 East Aldine Amphitheater

At the Mayor’s Hispanic Heritage Awards event. I met Dr. Juan Antonio Sorto, MacArthur HS graduate, UH-Downtown faculty member, Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Board Member and Executive Director of Friends of El Salvador. I’m proud to share this Aldine ISD graduate’s success!
Dr. Sorto earned the Doctorate of Philosophy in Urban Planning from the Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs at Texas Southern University.
Congratulations Dr. Sorto!
