Dear Houston Classical Families and Friends,

We are SO excited to announce our annual October community event: Trunk or Treat! 👻🍬

As we wrap up the month of October, we look forward to bringing our HCCS community together for an evening filled with fun, laughter, and festive memories!

This year, we have so many exciting activities planned, including vendors, a corn maze, a scavenger hunt, a Trunk or Treat contest, face painting, and so much more! 🎉🍂

We invite all HCCS families and friends to join us for the festivities. Feel free to bring along family members and friends who would love to celebrate with us!

🧙‍♀️ Scholars are encouraged to dress up in their favorite storybook character costumes and join in on the fun!

We can’t wait to see our HCCS community come together for a spooktacular evening. We look forward to seeing you all there! 🎃✨

📸 Attention, Lions! Picture Day is right around the corner! 🦁✨

🗓️ Thursday, October 15th

Parents, please be advised that all scholars must be on campus no later than 7:30 AM and dressed in their appropriate grade-level uniform. Please plan accordingly to avoid late arrivals and ensure your scholar is prepared and ready for Picture Day!

👔 Uniform Reminder:
We ask that families take the time to purchase any needed uniform pieces, especially ties for 1st–7th grade scholars.

As a reminder, scholars will be asked to remove jackets/sweaters and necklace chains before their picture is taken.

We look forward to Picture Day and capturing all of those big smiles. 📸✨

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Our Scholar Council Committee is hosting an ofrenda during Hispanic Heritage Month to honor and pay respect to loved ones and ancestors who have passed on. Our Scholar Council is honored and excited to pay tribute to the families in our community throughout the months of September and October.

All Houston Classical families, regardless of background, are warmly welcomed and encouraged to participate in this meaningful tradition. 🌼🕯️

An ofrenda is a temporary display created to welcome and remember loved ones, honor their lives, and give thanks for the time they shared with us here on Earth. Scholars who would like to participate may bring a framed photo of a loved one to be placed on our ofrenda between September 15 and October 15.

Please let your scholar’s teacher know if your scholar will be participating so that our Scholar Council Committee can coordinate the collection of the framed photo.

We are grateful to our HCCS families for trusting us to share and honor the memories of your loved ones. 🦁🕯️⭐️
