Congratulations to Judith, Syed, and Jacob on their recognition by HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest.

Our clinicians successfully utilized the EMS-to-Operating Room process at HCA Houston Northwest, eliminating delays by delivering a critical trauma patient directly to the surgical team. This rapid intervention shaved off vital minutes and played a decisive role in the patient’s successful outcome.

To our incredible HCEC D-Shift crews who covered this Thanksgiving Day: Thank you!

While many were home celebrating, your dedication ensured our community remained safe and cared for.

A special thank you to the staff that made our agency feel like one big family today, especially for bringing all the crews all together for a fantastic potluck meal! The generosity and camaraderie was truly heartwarming.

And a massive shout-out to our District Supervisors, Shaun K. and Ryan W. Not only did they expertly coordinate all the moving parts and make sure all the medics were able to take part in today's meal, but they also went above and beyond to organize the distribution of boxed meals to those less fortunate in our service area. Their leadership and compassion are an inspiration!

We are proud to serve alongside such a remarkable team. Happy Thanksgiving!

We’re excited to share that we’ve officially moved into our new home — HCESD1 Station #93! This new station is built to enhance our service to the community, provide improved support for our crews, and advance our mission of delivering fast, dependable emergency care.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this milestone a reality — with special appreciation to the Commissioners of Harris County ESD #1 for their ongoing support and dedication!

And a big thank you to our “roommates” at Northwest Volunteer Fire Department Station #43 for generously giving us a temporary home during construction — we truly appreciate the hospitality!

Earlier this week, the Stroke Team from Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital visited us to commend one of our crews for their exceptional care of a stroke patient.

Each quarter, the HM Willowbrook Stroke Team honors EMS crews with the fastest Door-to-Needle and Door-to-Groin times.

The Door-to-Groin Puncture (DTP) time refers to the period from a patient's arrival at the hospital to the first pass with a thrombectomy device. The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recommend a DTP time of under 90 minutes for patients arriving directly at the hospital.

Congratulations to Tiffany Hanes, Neely Cole, and Kyrie Cassin for achieving the fastest Door-to-Groin time in Q4 of 2024!

Their quick recognition of the patient's condition, swift notification to the hospital of the patient’s urgency, and efficient teamwork resulted in a highly favorable outcome for the patient.

Excellent job, everyone!
