Knowing how to recognize when a young person may be struggling can make a real difference.

Join us for a virtual Youth Mental Health First Aid training on Thursday, October 22, from 9:00 AM-3:15 PM CT.

Participants will learn how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health challenges in youth. Those who complete the training will receive a certificate valid for three years.

Meet Christian Acosta, a member of the PIT Crew at Celebration Company West who is actively working toward future employment. Christian has a passion for trains and hopes to one day build a career with Amtrak. ⁠

As part of his internship at KP’s Kitchen, Christian serves as a Water Concierge, checking in with customers, refilling water, and practicing communication in a real workplace environment.⁠
⁠
Each shift helps him build confidence, independence, and experience beyond the familiar setting of CCW. ⁠
⁠
