What happens when a piece of Eastwood history gets a new life? Come see for yourself! ❤️

The 28th Annual Eastwood Home Tour is October 17–18, and this year we’re featuring something extra special: the recently restored L.M. Greco Building!

Once a neighborhood grocery store in the 1920s, this historic spot sat vacant for years. Today, it’s home to Willow’s Smokehouse & Tavern and Eastwood Station Htx , an Italian food concept housed in a caboose brought to the property by its current owners. 🚂🍝

We’re proud to celebrate this incredible restoration, a 2027 Preservation Houston Good Brick Award winner! And that’s not all. One of this year’s featured homes is also a past Good Brick Award winner. 🧱🏆

From historic homes to beloved local businesses, this year’s tour celebrates the history, creativity, and community spirit that make Eastwood so special.

Presented by East End District, the tour features 5 homes and 2 local restaurants in one of Houston’s oldest master-planned communities.

🚶🏻‍♀️ The East End is best experienced on foot. From neighborhood parks and local shops to community events and transit stops, our streets are filled with people walking every day. During National Pedestrian Safety Month, we encourage drivers to put safety first: reduce speed, stay focused, yield at crosswalks, and watch for pedestrians at every intersection. Safer streets start with safer driving, and protecting our most vulnerable road users begins behind the wheel.

🚶🏻‍♀️ El East End se disfruta mejor a pie. Desde parques vecinales y comercios locales hasta eventos comunitarios y paradas de transporte público, nuestras calles están llenas de personas caminando todos los días. Durante el Mes Nacional de la Seguridad Peatonal, invitamos a los conductores a priorizar la seguridad: reduzcan la velocidad, manténganse atentos, cedan el paso en los cruces peatonales y estén pendientes de las personas que caminan en cada intersección. Texas Monthly says what East Enders already know: Willow’s BBQ is worth the trip. If you stop by, do yourself a favor and don't leave without trying the cornbread. And whatever you do, don't sleep on the pecan chocolate chip cookies. They're the perfect finish to an incredible meal.

Willow’s BBQ sigue ganando reconocimiento, y quienes vivimos en el East End sabemos muy bien por qué. Si vas a visitarlos, no te vayas sin probar el pan de maíz. Y un consejo más: no pases por alto las galletas de chocolate con nuez pacana. Son el final perfecto para una comida espectacular.
