It is said that if a woman is educated and empowered, the entire family and society will be developed. So it is the most imperative need to provide women skills and knowledge to take advantage of the many opportunities available to them and help them improve their living standards. Providing women with the opportunities of education, job training and basic services to ease household responsibilities are the ways to empower women. When women become more knowledgeable and acquire skills, they can accomplish a great deal.

Women in the developing countries are often denied opportunities for education. Lack of education limits prospects, decreases family income, increases health risk, puts women at risk of trafficking and exploitation, and limits the economic advancement of entire countries. Each day we get to hear and read news about the incidences of gender based violence and discrimination against women. There are deep rooted social and cultural practices like child marriage, dowry system, gender discrimination and many more. For solving these types of problems like lack of women in decision-making bodies, lack of political power or political commitment, unequal payment, deep rooted gender discriminatory value system education should be addressed.

नमस्कार सबै दाजुभाइ दिदिबहिनी अग्रज तथा साथीहरूमा यहाँहरूलाई थाहै छ कि हामीले केही महिना अगाडि देखि पुराना तथा नयाँ किताब संकलन गर्दै अाईरहेका छाै ,कक्षा 9,10 तथा उच्च माध्यमिक तहका शिक्षा संकाय ,मानविकी संकाय ,व्यवस्थापन तथा विज्ञान संकायका किताबहरू साथै साना भाईबहिनिहरूका लागि मनाेरञ्जनात्मक तथा अतिरिक्त ज्ञानका पुस्तकहरू संकलन गरिरहेका छाै ,अाशा छ हजुरहरू सँग रहेका पुराना पढ्न याेग्य पुस्तकहरू हामिलाई दिई विकट ठाउँकाे शिक्षाको विकासमा सहयोग गर्नुहुनेछ भन्नेमा हामी अाशाबादि छाै यसका साथै हामिले हाम्रो पहिलाे संकलन बाट बझाङकाे बिकट ठाउँमा रहेकाे थलरा उच्च माध्यमिक विधालयमा न्यानो पुस्तकालय प्रथम स्थापना गरि सकेका छाै ,अब न्यानो पुस्तकालय दितिय हामिले कर्णाली अञ्चल अन्तर्गतकाे मुगु जिल्लामा रहेकाे श्री बुद्ध उच्च माध्यमिक बिधालय माँग्रि ५,६ मुगु मा स्थापना गर्दै छाै अाशा छ हजुरहरू बाट साथ र सहयोग प्राप्त गर्ने छाै ।

कस्तो पिडा होला!जब अचानक आफ्नो परीवार गुमाउदा त्यो पनि कसैले हत्या गर्दीय! एक मात्र सन्तान थिए कुन्दन थापा हास खेल गर्दै गर्ने उमेरका कुन्दन थापा को मृत्यु अचानक त्यो पनि बिद्यालय बन्द भएको दिनमा कसरी बिर्सनु सक्छन्। कुन्दन थापाका बाबु आमाले जब सम्म न्याय दिलाउन सकेनन् भनी आज उनको परिवारलाई यो घटना घट्यो भोलि तपाईंको परीवारलाई पनि पर्न सक्छ। मेरो परिवारलाई पर्न सक्छ। आज हामी अरूलाई पर्दा चुपचाप हेरेरै बस्छौं भोलि आफुलाई पर्दा कोही पनि हुनेछैन। पावर ले सबै कुरा बिक्री भएको छ हाम्रो देश नेपालमा उखान नै छ नि (छन गेडा सबै मेरा,छैनन् गेडा सबै टेडा) यो उखान जस्तै छ हाम्रो कानुन पनि
हत्यारालाई चाडो भन्दा चाडो सजाय होस् ।।

--अचम्मको देश --
मेरो घरमा मेरो दिदी/बहिनीहरु महिनाबारी हुँदा
पेट दुख्यो भन्दै रुदै बसेको देखेको छु,
कयौं पटक त रिसाउदै झर्किदै मैले
त्यस्तो जाबो पेट दुख्दा रुदै बस्नु पर्छ भनेको छु,
दिदीबहिनीहरु मलाई प्याड किनेर लेराइदे भन्दा
अचम्मित हुँदै मैले छोरा मान्छे लाज हुन्छ भनेको छु!
त्यो थाकेका र गलेका प्राणीहरु
गाउँघरमा त अझ मैले पुरै गोठमा बसेर
आफ्नो दुखाइ र पिडा लुकाएको देखेको छु,
घास दाउरा गरेर घर फर्केर आएपछि
आफू केही मुखमा नहाली प्रत्यकले खाएको भाडा माझेको हेरेको छु,
अनि महिनावारी हुदा लगाउन पर्ने प्याड किन्न नसकी धोती काटी टालो बनाएको भेटेको छु!
फेरि सोचे,
हाम्रो समाजमा परिवर्तन हुन अझै समय लाग्छ किनकि
प्राकृतिक रुपमा महिनावारीहुने महिलालाइ चाहिने प्याड किन्न पैसा तिर्नपर्छ,
अनि सरकारले मोजमस्तीको लागि कन्डम फ्रीमा दिनु पर्छ!
हे बुद्धु सरकार त्योभन्दा त बरु
५/१० रुपे मा त्यो मोजमस्तीको कण्डम बेच,
महिनावारीको बेला प्रयोग गर्नु पर्ने प्याडको पैसा घटाइदेउ,
प्राकृतिक रुपमा हुने महिनावारीलाई लुकाउन पर्ने नबनाईदेउ अनि,
गरिबी र रोगले ग्रस्त हाम्रो देशमा आमा/दिदिबहिनीहरुको जिन्दगी सहज बनाइदेउ !!
