We purchased a new build home and sought a pool building company to build our in ground pool. We selected Pools Plus based on various reasons. Including the fact that when we were supposed to meet for the first time, he proactively reached out to us to reschedule as another client’s build was having issues due to the heavy rain that day. We were impressed that he focused on his current customer’s build rather than proceeding with our meeting to get a new customer. That showed us that we would not be overlooked during our build and felt confident that he would be there to ensure a quality outcome for us. This was our first pool build and we knew nothing of the process or what options were available to us. He provided expert guidance and design recommendations as well as education on what options we should consider and how the system would work. His contractors and subcontractors were also excellent and ensured a beautiful outcome. We are very pleased with the look and style of the pool and highly recommend Jim’s company. So much so, that we have already recommended him to our new neighbors who are also considering an in ground pool build. Thank you Jim for helping us realize our pool vision!

Don't forget what happened in 2021 with the big freeze. If you lose power with low temps in the 20s or lower it is time to drain pool equipment to avoid freezing. Your pumps, filter and heater all have drain plugs. Water will drop to pool level which is below ground at the equipment and you should be ok.
Prevention of power loss is also an important consideration. Everybody want a powerful backup generator with automatic switchover. Affording it is another matter and what is your true ROI?
I suggest you look at BASE POWER here in Texas. They install large backup batteries with automatic switching for a nominal installation installation charge. PLUS your cost per kilowatt hour through BASE POWER on your monthly bill drops to around 8.0 cents vs 14.9 cents market pricing. Pool owners with larger houses could save almost $200 month plus the peace of mind of backup power for most outages. Check it out.

Below-market electricity rates and home battery backup from Texas' modern energy provider. Reliable power made affordable.
