Road to America 250

As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, we’re launching a special summer series highlighting fun facts, history, geography, innovation, and symbols that have helped shape the American story.

Did you know?
In addition to its 50 states, the U.S. has 5 major territories--Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. It's also home to more than 330 million people.

So join us as we count down to America’s 250th anniversary, we’ll be sharing fun facts, history, geography, and moments that helped shape our nation!

Celebrating excellence at Harmony Science Academy High Dallas! 🎓

Congratulations to Valedictorian Kevin V., who will be attending UT Dallas to study Psychology, and Salutatorian Yazed C., who is headed to Columbia University to pursue Biomedical Engineering.

Harmony Public Schools is proud to announce that 52 campuses earned Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished Program recognition and five Harmony districts (Central Texas, Houston North, Houston South, North Texas, South Texas) received PLTW Distinguished District awards for 2025–26! 🎉

Because Harmony offers PLTW to all students starting in Pre‑K, our learners experience hands‑on, project‑based STEM that fosters creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking as part of the regular school day. This is STEM for All, ensuring students from every background have access to meaningful STEM learning that prepares them for college and careers.

🎓 Meet Angel H., Valedictorian of Harmony Science Academy Carrollton!

Angel is headed to The University of Texas at Dallas on a full-ride scholarship, where he plans to major in Mechanical Engineering. His hands-on experience working on cars has fueled his passion for engineering and innovation.
At HSA–Carrollton, Angel has excelled both academically and athletically as a member of the soccer program. He is also a proud recipient of the Academic Excellence Scholarship.
