HCFMO investigators are conducting an origin and cause investigation following a two-alarm warehouse fire in the 12100 block of Antoine.

Northwest Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched shortly after 8 p.m. and arrived to find a cleaning supply business containing numerous chemicals fully involved in flames.

Hazmat crews are on scene working to identify the chemicals involved, while air monitoring continues.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

The HCFMO attended the annual Channel Industries Mutual Aid (CIMA) awards banquet.

Congratulations to Assistant Chief Richard Lawhorn (Emergency Operations) on 20 years of dedicated service to Channel Industries Mutual Aid. First appointed by the CIMA chairman as a Technical Specialist for Hazardous Materials in 2006, he was honored for his longstanding commitment to the organization.

Westfield Fire Department was the responding agency.

HCFMO investigators determined the fire was accidental and was caused by a rekindled burn barrel located behind a home on the property.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, multiple adjacent properties also sustained damage.

Drove up on a major fire near Bentley and Cedar Hill. 🚒🔥

Firefighters are on scene working hard to contain the blaze.

Please avoid the area and give emergency crews room to work. Grateful to all the first responders working to keep everyone safe. Praying for everyone’s safety. 🙏🏽

This morning, HCFMO and Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to two unpermitted boarding homes in the humble area, resulting in two arrests.

Location 1: 15200 block of Readen Crescent Dr., Humble, TX

This location had seven residents and one employee. Five residents were relocated to another licensed boarding home, while the remaining two residents are being picked up by family members. The employee was arrested on a warrant out of Liberty County.

Location 2: 19400 block of Forest Timbers Ct., Houston, TX

This location had nine residents and one employee. Seven residents were relocated to another licensed boarding home, one resident was transported to Kingwood Medical Center, and one resident chose to remain at the location. The employee was arrested on a warrant out of Liberty County.

Both locations received failing reports, notices of violation, and stop-work orders.
