Happy New Year to all members and partners of the Danish American Chamber of Commerce, Southwest.
We hope you have all had a Safe NYE Celebration and as we look forward to what the new year has in store, perhaps a good opportunity to revisit some of the main events of 2022 in DACCSW:
- The new Danish Ambassador to the US, Christina Markus Lassen, visited Houston earlier this year to celebrate one of our founding members new U.S. HQ
- Grundfos also graciously hosted a DACCSW member event to showcase their new HQ and exciting new developments in the world of pumps & water technology. We truly appreciate the continued support!
- Multiple Danish delegations visited the region; Danskehavne visited the Ports of Houston, Beaumont and Galveston and we know of 3 more delegations who will visit in Q1 of 2023 so it is already shaping up to be another busy year for the Danish Consulate (stay tuned for more information).
- DACCSW member event at Genan. Thank you to our Chairman of the DACCSW Board, Thomas Boehme and Christian Fenger for hosting a great event
- More and more Danish companies are discovering what the Southwest region has to offer and are choosing cities like Austin, Dallas and Houston as the location for their US office. For instance, companies like Orsted and UXV Technologies have announced their arrival, just to name a few.
- What used to be a Shipping & Logistics heavy region, at least from a Danish business interest perspective, the Southwest is becoming more diversified with increased interest and representation from companies in , , and , brining jobs and business opportunities to our area.
A special "Thank You" goes to Kristian Nielsen for being the primus motor for the board of DACCSW, Anna Holiday for facilitating the day to day relationship with the Danish Consulate - and speaking of the Consulate, we greatly appreciate the collaboration and look forward to another busy year.
We will shortly be sharing the exciting activities for we have planned for 2023 and look forward to seeing you all very soon.

Big news – big changes❗️
2020 is a new beginning for many, also for DACCSW. The Danish American Chamber of Commerce Southwest and The Consulate General of Denmark in Houston have formed a new partnership. From the beginning of 2020, the Consulate General has taken on the role as the secretariat for DACCSW – meaning the Consulate General will be handling memberships, inquiries, and assisting in executing future events.
This partnership will strengthen and professionalize DACCSW and explore synergies such as utilizing high-level visits to the benefit of Danish companies in DACCSW. The Consulate General is the primary access point for Danish interest in the Southern US and serves as a hub for both incoming Danish visits and a contact point for local authorities and businesses.
Be part of a new beginning for DACCSW;
Join us for an informal networking event on March 12 at 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM - where The Consulate General open their doors for all current, former, and potential members to participate in an open dialogue on how the Consulate General can direct and develop DACCSW, and create value for all members.
For more information and registration to our event, please send an email to Annsofie Lybaek at [email protected]
We will focus on our LinkedIn page, so for any future updates - Please follow our LinkedIn page.

DACC Announcement:
Good morning dear members & friends of DACC,
Back in 2011, 4 individuals including Anna Holliday, came up with the idea to form a Danish American Chamber of Commerce in Houston, covering the Southwest Region of the US…
Since then, and still to this day, the continued success has been solely due to the great support of our members as well as hard work from our Board members… all on a volunteer basis
Following the opening of the Danish Consulate in Houston, DACC’s role & focus have changed slightly, with more focus on cooperating with the Consulate and fellow chambers, striving to become more visual and add value to our members…
During our last Board meeting it was decided to increase our membership fees starting 1st Jan., 2019 – as follows:
$ 600.00 Corporate per year (increase from $500)
$ 400.00 SMB / Small Business Membership per year
(increase from $300)
$ 200.00 Individual per year (increase from $100)
$ 100.00 Student / Retired per year (increase from $50)
As the majority of memberships are up for renewal, we will offer 2019 fees, if renewed by latest end December
We thank you for your continued support
