Texas Army National Guard Staff Sgt. David Lee and Staff Sgt. Brittany Petersen were selected as the first recipients of the Texas JCDTF “Bullseye” coin Dec. 6, 2022, at Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas. The Texas Counterdrug Coordinator, Air National Guard Lt. Col. James F. Cobb, and Senior Enlisted Advisor, Army National Guard Command Sgt. Maj. Jesse L. Kennis II, personally selected each recipient based on their individual performances that have “hit the mark” and made a significant, positive impact to the program. Cut from the 20mm gun barrel of an M61-A1 Vulcan Gatling gun from a Texas F-16 Fighting Falcon, this unique coin represents the recognition of a task force member’s “on target” demonstration of excellence in performance. This past weekend we had to say goodbye to CPT Clark, Aimee who had been in Command of Charlie Company for the last two years. We wish her the best in all her future endeavors!!

We would like to introduce CPT Mendoza, Tony the new Commander of Charlie Company!!

“It is hard to believe that one day I was listening to my grandfather tell stories about his time leading a squad, to now me leading a company. It truly is an honor, privilege, and a blessing to serve as the new company commander for the 136th ESB Charlie Company.

Thank you all who have provided me mentorship and support in preparation to this moment. I look forward to the continuing Charlie Company’s success in our new journey together.

-CPT Mendoza, Tony
