Over the weekend, the fellas were served up some of Anthony Frazier's neighborhood famous breakfast burgers! Scrambled eggs mixed with veggies and ground turkey sausage!! They could not get enough!!

Breakfast this morning at JHfM! Stuffed pancakes and fried eggs!
The pancakes are stuffed with caramel apples topped with powdered sugar.

This is Roosevelt Lark, Jr. He has lived here at JHfM since 2010. He is a really cool guy. He loves to smoke and eat. Lol. He is very helpful around the home, as well.
Two years ago, I was told by Roosevelt's doctor he was overweight and had a high A1-C and he was well on his way to becoming pre-diabetic.
His doctor told me he needed to lose weight and change his diet.
Now keep in mind Roosevelt, who is a United States Veteran, has schizophrenia and has been diagnosed with Chronic Mental Illness.
So, I had to come up with a creative way to get him to excercise without him knowing, and long story short, I did!
He had an appointment last week and I was told his A1-C is normal. He has also removed enough weight to keep him safe from diabetes.
I am very proud of the work we do at Jacob's Home for Men.
Please send Roosevelt a congratulatory message! We will make sure he receives it!
Next up, Roosevelt will receive a new set of teeth just in time for his birthday, (September 21st)!
