✅ Make sure your pet’s microchip information is updated
✅ Keep vaccination records in a safe, easy-to-access place
✅ Have a carrier, leash, and emergency contacts ready

Planning a cookout this Memorial Day? Here’s how to keep your pets safe while you grill, chill, and enjoy the sunshine:

🔥 Grill Safety
– Keep pets away from hot grills to avoid burns.
– Don’t leave lighter fluid, skewers, or charcoal where curious noses can reach!

🍗 BBQ Foods to Avoid
– No bones, onions, or corn cobs; they can be choking hazards or toxic.
– Say no to fatty scraps; they can upset your pet’s stomach or cause pancreatitis.
– No alcohol or desserts, especially if they contain chocolate or xylitol!

☀️ Beat the Heat
– Provide shade and plenty of water.
– Keep pets indoors during peak heat hours.
– Watch for signs of heat exhaustion: heavy panting, drooling, or lethargy.
