Congrats to Candidate Brayden Wardrup on securing his spot on the PLC Board! Brayden walked into the office just three weeks ago and said his ultimate dream was to become a Marine and lead Marines like SSgt Maynard. Proud to see that drive turn into action—this is just the beginning. 🇺🇸

From University of Houston Law Center to Marine Officer ⚖️🦅🌎⚓️
Go to the link at the bottom of the post to learn about 2ndLt Luke Kubosh, a University of Houston Law Center alum who earned the title Marine Officer and is now on the path to serving as a Marine Corps Judge Advocate.
In the United States Marine Corps, lawyers aren’t just attorneys — they are officers first. Every JAG completes Officer Candidate School, commissions as a Second Lieutenant, and attends The Basic School before moving on to Naval Justice School.
If you’re in law school (or planning on it) and want leadership, service, and challenge beyond the courtroom, the Marine Corps JAG program may be your path.

🔥 PLC LAW — THE STANDARD IS SET🔥
Cole Lindhorst, a 1L at South Texas College of Law Houston and former Division I Track & Field athlete at the University of Texas, and Chase Robbins, a 2L at the University of Houston Law Center and alumnus of the University of Clemson, have officially secured their spot on the Platoon Leaders Class (PLC) Law Selection Board this past week— stepping forward to earn the title of United States Marine Corps Officer and Marine Judge Advocate.
The PLC Law program allows aspiring Marine Judge Advocates to pursue law school while simultaneously completing their Marine Corps officer training pipeline during the summer — proving that excellence in the classroom and excellence on the battlefield are not mutually exclusive. Upon successful completion of Officer Candidates School (OCS), these candidates will earn their commission as Second Lieutenants, beginning the path to serve as leaders, officers, and future Marine Corps attorneys.
Earned. Not given. Semper Fidelis.

OCC-250 wrapped up on Saturday, 15 November, and seven Marines from Officer Selection Station Houston fought through and earned the title of Marine Officer.
Congrats to Second Lieutenants Tchatikpi, Youssef, Hilton, Charles, Kubosh, Schoolcraft, and Collins—each of them proved they had the grit to finish what few ever will.
They came from different commissioning paths—Active Duty Ground, Naval Aviator, Reserves, and Law—but the Marine Corps trains all its officers the same: under pressure, under scrutiny, and in an environment designed to expose weakness and forge leaders. Now they move on to The Basic School, where every Marine officer—regardless of future specialty—learns to fight, lead, and command a rifle platoon.
One standard. Marine Officer.

🇺🇸⚖️ Officer Selection Team-Houston hosted an Opening Statement Competition inside the historic 1910 Courthouse in downtown Houston—an incredible setting for future Marine JAGs to showcase their advocacy skills.
We were honored to hold the event in Justice Amparo Guerra’s chambers, whose support and presence elevated the experience for every participant.
Congratulations to Samuel McLane for winning the event! He is currently a 1L ! Proud of the talent, professionalism, and grit these candidates displayed. The Marine Corps needs leaders who can think, speak, and fight—both in the courtroom and the operating forces—and these future judge advocates are stepping up.
