Harris County District Clerk

A great way to inform the public on the services and offerings of the District Clerk's Office is through digital content, like what you see on our social media platforms. But nothing beats human to human interaction. Our Community Outreach Liaison Saundra along with volunteers from different departments within our office have been hard at work going to different community events to build that connection with our county. These moments present a great opportunity to engage with the public in a way a computer or a phone just can't do.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday at 5900 Canal Street for our Discover Your DCO Open House! We loved welcoming community members, the legal community, and partners to learn more about the services, records, history, and preservation work of the Harris County District Clerk’s Office.

Guests had the opportunity to meet District Clerk Marilyn Burgess and members of her team, explore what happens behind the scenes, and learn more about the important work we do to serve our community and preserve Harris County’s history.

A special thank you to 97.9 The Box and G-Man for helping make the event extra special! We truly appreciate him and the entire 97.9 The Box team for supporting the District Clerk’s Office and helping us spread the word! 🙌🏽🎙️

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this event a success. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with you and show you all of the services your Harris County District Clerk’s Office has to offer! 💙

Today, District Clerk Marilyn Burgess attended and was recognized by City Comptroller Chris Hollins at his amazing Hispanic Heritage Month event that featured performances from groups representing different cultures from Central and South America. The event also featured awards presented to leaders who are doing amazing work for our community. Events like these remind us how rich and diverse our beautiful community is, and why we need to continue to celebrate and recognize the people who help make Houston a great city to work and live in.

Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001, a day that forever changed our nation. We will never forget the courage of first responders, the resilience of survivors, and the unity of a nation.
