Major Recovery in Northeast Harris County

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Auto Theft Detectives, along with East Aldine Proactive Units, located 14 stolen vehicles at a truck parking lot in northeast Harris County.

The vehicles appear to have been staged for shipment out of the country. A variety of vehicles and equipment were recovered from the scene, including cars, trucks, tractor-trailers, and other equipment.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Yesterday, Major Shelton and Deputy Martinez joined the Rolling Green HOA for its National Night Out event!

Our team enjoyed connecting with residents, sharing information about local resources, and having meaningful conversations with the community.

Spooky season is here!

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol Unit is gearing up for some Halloween fun! Join us at several Trunk or Treat events throughout Harris County for candy, costumes, and a chance to meet our deputies and horses.

Keep an eye out for Chief, who will be making special appearances at select locations!

In memory of Deputy Joshua Sieman: On October 21, 2021, Deputy Joshua Sieman passed away after a courageous battle against COVID-19.

He joined our agency in 2016 and was a member of our Crime Reduction Unit. He had previously served four years with the Roman Forest Police Department.

Deputy Sieman was also a member of the High-Water Rescue Team. In 2017, following Hurricane Harvey’s destruction and devastation, Deputy Sieman rode through Harris County communities on a high-water rescue vehicle, aiding those needing assistance.

In 2019, Deputy Sieman and two of his fellow deputies received the Bravery Award following their heroic response to a domestic violence-related incident in December 2018. A man poured gasoline around a home and attempted to set it on fire with a woman and her children inside. Deputy Sieman detained the suspect and tried to extinguish the fire while the deputies navigated the home in search of the victims. Thankfully, the wife and children had evacuated the residence.

We will keep his wife and son in our hearts and prayers. He is the 53rd member of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office to die in the line of duty.

Our HCSO SWAT and Bomb Squad teams brought their A-game to the Texas Tactical Police Association SWAT Competition!

Our team placed 7th out of 44 teams.

Going head-to-head with some of the best tactical teams in Texas, our deputies put their training, skills and teamwork to the test.

Proud to see our teams representing HCSO!

Andre Julian Moten, Jr., was 22 years old when he was reported missing. His family is hoping for new information that could lead to his whereabouts. He's 6’2 tall, weighs 180 pounds, and has a scar on his right eyebrow. Call Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-8477.
